Exhibition “Made Heads – New Expressions in Artisanal Practices”

Starting from the memory of the cabeçudo — the papier-mâché mask that marked the Loulé Shrovetide — about 50 local creators were challenged to transform the lid of a pot with a classic silhouette into a piece of free expression, where the utilitarian function gives way to narrative, experimentation and the identity of each author.

This workshop has hours of great fun and learning, in which we will address the basic techniques of ceramics (ballast and pinch), for the creation of utilitarian pieces and finally decorate them with painting through engobes, and can also create some textures according to personal taste
