Artisans
Susana Méndez, founder of Susana Méndez – Textile Studio in Loulé, is a textile artist passionate about handweaving, tapestry and embroidery. With a degree in Arts and Graphic Design, she combines illustration with the creation of decorative pieces in threads, colors and textures, developing original projects and sharing her experience through training.
Scottish by origin and Portuguese at heart, Susan Sutherland grew up surrounded by yarn and from an early age developed a passion for wool. She is dedicated to the creation of handmade knitting pieces and card, and spins much of the raw material she works with. He gives workshops where he teaches the art of spinning with handmade spinning wheels or spindles.
