Meeting of Universes: Loulé Criativo and IKEA

Meeting of Universes: Loulé Criativo and IKEA

The IKEA Loulé store welcomed the artisans and designers of Loulé Criativo from February 2nd to 5th in 2023. In addition to the installation of live workshops throughout the store's environments, more than 150 products produced by 20 creators from Loulé's creative community were exhibited in dialogue with the industrial products of the Scandinavian brand, in a unique initiative in the country.

IKEA Loulé opened its doors to
Creative Community of Loulé

The store’s environments were “invaded” by the products and occupied by the creators themselves, who were present in several workshops working live at the Loulé store.

From the 2nd to the 5th of February 2023 it was possible to learn how to make a lamp or a ring with wood waste, watch the repair of a musical instrument, see how to create a ceramic piece, watch the manual spinning of wool and knitting, try hand weaving, create dream cushions, learn about the various techniques of palm making, learn to embroider, paint tiles and even find the Textile Club with more than ten passionate about the arts of know-how.

MAR Shopping Algarve also joined the initiative, and made available the exhibition space where the exhibition on Loulé Criativo took place, which was on display from January 21st to February 12th.

The event surprised and inspired visitors, and was at the same time an excellent opportunity to show and make known local products.
