From an early age, she showed curiosity for crochet when she watched her grandmother and great-aunt at work. With them she learned the basic stitches and, later, around the age of 15, she learned knitting with a neighbor, when she made her first sweater. Over the years she explored several manual techniques, such as sewing, Arraiolos, macramé, cross stitch, half stitch and embroidery.
During the pandemic, he discovered the Japanese technique of amigurumi, through which he tested and adapted patterns, creating original puppets. His work has been recognized for the detail and quality of the Portuguese cotton threads he uses.
It currently develops pieces inspired by Algarve symbols, with the aim of contributing to the preservation and promotion of regional handicrafts and arousing public interest in these traditions.
