Loulé Criativo in Cristina Magazine

To celebrate the 5th anniversary of Cristina magazine, Loulé Criativo invited stylist Filipe Carriço to coordinate a unique photo session. Inspired by the Algarve’s dryland orchard, the production came to life among almond trees in bloom, where soft and floral looks announce the trends of the new season. In a tribute to the region’s roots, Filipe Carriço involved local artisans in the creation of pieces that combine tradition and modernity, bringing the authenticity of the Algarve to the fashion universe.
New applications open for new residents

Designer Outlet Algarve exhibits works by local artists

Designer Outlet Algarve hosts, until the end of February, an exhibition of crafts and culture that aims to highlight the creativity and products of local designers and artists. Decorative objects, furniture, accessories and jewelry, as well as restored antique objects will be exhibited in 11 windows of the space.

Gama Lobo Palace recovered to be a center for the preservation of traditional arts and crafts

The rehabilitation work of the emblematic Gama Lobo Palace, known by most Loulé residents as the “Palace of the Spaniards” was inaugurated last Saturday. An intervention that constitutes “a remarkable work from the point of view of architecture, respect for pre-existences but also with the incorporation of new materials and new elements”, as highlighted by the Deputy Minister of Economy, Pedro Siza Vieira, present at the inaugural ceremony.

How much weight does a contract mesh hold? How are the slats of childhood memories intertwined? Is it possible to blow plastic as if it were glass? And keep the metallic rhythm of the boilermakers making themselves sound through the streets of Loulé? The Loulé Criativo project wants to preserve ancestral techniques to adapt them to today’s needs, in a development strategy for the interior of the Algarve that aims to create jobs, combat the seasonality of tourism and adapt to a sustainable cycle.

From Vilamoura’s garbage art and useful objects were made

The garbage, by the hand and art of a group of designers, was transformed into objects of fashion and practical use. From bags for planters to outdoor kitchens for children, including games for the elderly, waste has become joy.
The advertising banner that announced Áurea’s concert two years ago has been converted into a “chic” bag that will go on the arm of women gardeners in Vilamoura. A team of nine designers, in partnership with Inframoura, converted garbage into art and gave new life to obsolete objects. During the summer months, more than 50 tons of monos were collected in the largest tourist resort in the Algarve – sofas, refrigerators, televisions, wooden pallets, furniture and various trinkets.
