Following the last artistic residency organized in partnership with the Casa de Mateus Foundation, UmbigoLAB launches a new Open Call with the Municipality of Loulé / Loulé Criativo, taking place between January 26 and April 12, 2026.

The artistic project to be presented must integrate the knowledge of the Master Craftsmen and the techniques of Palm and Esparto, being carried out in collaboration with the Masters after training sessions.

The residency aims to broaden the scope of action of the platform, founded in 2018 with the support of the Millennium bcp Foundation, promoting a new stimulus to creation.

The artist/pair of artists who wish to apply must submit to UmbigoLAB and by November 30 an artistic project that takes into account the specific context of this residency.
