From June 10th to June 24th, Adérita Artistic Space, in Almancil, hosts the exhibitions “Mesa Ajudada” and “Artistas do Mundo”. The Day of Portugal and the Communities will be celebrated with the sharing of flavors and cultures of the world among the communities present in the parish of Almancil.
The two exhibitions aim to provoke a dialogue between contemporaneity and traditions and between the various cultures that are in this parish, through the cultural sharing of the communities that reside in this territory.
The “Ajudada Table” raises new perspectives of affirmation of the human values of mutual help and sharing as a solution for a more sustainable future. The table is a metaphor that speaks of community. It is the result of a creative residency inspired by the rural practice of “ajudada” common to the subsistence economy of the interior of the Algarve. The exhibition will be on display in Almancil, challenging communities to come together and share their cultures around the Table.
The “Artists of the World” bring new visions of the world through the artistic expression in which they develop their works, they are: Adérita, Filua, SEN, TOO, Natália Estêvão, Francisco Silva (Portugal); Angelina Maia, Maria Tomé (France); Françoise Devroede, Raymond Parfait (Belgium); Tadmora Simkins (Venezuela); Dio Lima (São Tomé and Príncipe); Viola Catarina, Heike Ten Brink (Germany); Diana Watson (England).
The exhibitions open at 18:00 pm on the 10th and can be visited from 10:00 am to 13:00 pm and from 14:00 pm to 18:30 pm. Admission is free.
