The Adérita Artistic Space, in Almancil, receives from 10 June to 24 June, the exhibitions “Makers’ Meal” and “artists of the world”. The Day of Portugal and communities will be celebrated with the sharing of flavors and cultures of the world between the communities present in the parish of Almancil.
The two exhibitions are intended to lead to a dialogue between the contemporary and the traditions and between the various cultures that are in this parish, by sharing the cultural communities that reside in this territory.
The “Makers’ Meal” raises new looks for affirmation of the human values of mutual aid and sharing as solutions for a more sustainable future. The table is a metaphor which speaks of the community. The result of a creative inspired residence in rural practice “helped” the subsistence economy of the interior. The exhibition will be on display in Almancil, challenging communities to gather and share their cultures around the table.
The “artists of the world” bring new visions of the world through artistic expression in developing their works, they are: Adérita, Filua, SEN, TOO, Natalia Stephen, Francisco Silva (Portugal); Angelina Maia, Maria Thomas (France); Françoise Devroede, Raymond Parfait (Belgium); Tadmora Simkins (Venezuela); DIO Lima (Sao Tome and Principe); Viola Catherine, Heike Ten Brink (Germany); Diana Watson (England).
