OPEN DAY in Loulé offers creative experiences to visitors.
This Saturday, September 27th, is World Tourism Day, a doubly celebratory date for Loulé as it also marks the 10th anniversary of the Loulé Criativo project. To commemorate this occasion, the Gama Lobo Palace will host an Open Day.
The Palace opens its doors to a journey full of creativity, tradition, and sharing. Here, participants can explore the workshops of Loulé Criativo, meet the artisans who work here, and immerse themselves in the arts, knowledge, and creative experiences that keep the municipality’s identity alive. Between 10 am and 6 pm, the offerings are diverse: guitar setup and maintenance, working with esparto grass, fig and almond trilogy, tile painting, cyanotype, felting, creative sewing, bookbinding, potter’s wheel, tasting of Algarve-style cornmeal porridge, palm or copper work.
Loulé Criativo is an initiative that focuses on enhancing the territory’s identity, promoting the revitalization of its cultural heritage, driven by creativity and innovation. It supports the training and activity of artisans and professionals in the creative sector, contributing to the revitalization of traditional arts and the development of new approaches to intangible heritage.
Participation is free. Experiences do not require prior registration, but are subject to availability.
