Seven years later, one of Loulé Criativo’s pioneering projects has a new edition, where the problems of Loulé’s traditional arts are once again put into perspective.
Over the last few months, the three designers from Loulé who took part in the “Designers of Loulé” residency in 2017 have worked with 11 artisans from the Loulé Criativo network to design a new generation of products that seek to respond to cultural, social, economic and environmental issues.
Between the two residencies, the local context underwent a huge transformation. Seven arts and crafts workshops opened in the municipality, the Design Lab was created and Loulé Criativo has a new headquarters where countless training courses, exhibitions, residencies and talks with experts from a wide range of fields have taken place, helping to consolidate a consistent creative ecosystem as well as local critical mass.
In this new context, the fruitful dialogues have given rise to 26 new projects that join the 15 produced in 2017, which Loulé City Council invites you to see first-hand on 14 March at 18:00 in the Loulé Criativo exhibition hall – Rua Nossa Senhora de Fátima, Loulé.
