January marks the start of the textile club “Trama Aberta” in Loulé Criativo

2026-01-05

Loulé Criativo starts, on the 20th of January, Trama Aberta, a new textile club that assumes itself as a space for welcoming, creative coexistence and sharing of knowledge, aimed at all people who practice, study or are interested in textile arts.

With biweekly meetings, on Tuesdays, between 6 pm and 9 pm, Trama Aberta will take place at Palácio Gama Lobo, in Loulé, under the guidance of artist and researcher Luísa Leão. The club proposes a free work environment, where each participant brings their own project and the desire to be in relationship with other practitioners, promoting exchange, mutual learning and collective growth.

Open to all levels of experience, Trama Aberta’s main objectives are to foster an inclusive environment for textile practice; to promote the exchange of techniques, knowledge and processes; encourage reflection on sustainability, reuse of materials and waste reduction; and to stimulate, in the medium and long term, the development of collective projects with potential for exhibitions, editions or public actions.

With a monthly contribution of 10 euros, the club aims to create an active and continuous community around the textile arts, valuing manual making, shared time and the construction of local creative networks.
