Born in Paderne, Isidoro Ramos grew up watching his mother and grandmother working on esparto work, an art that has always fascinated him. He worked for years in telecommunications and, after his pre-retirement, he dedicated himself entirely to this craft.
Although he started later, his dedication has already earned him the participation as a master craftsman in courses and artistic residencies.
He is one of the few who still harvests the native plant in the mountains of the interior of the Algarve and an active defender of the preservation and promotion of this art, constantly exploring new techniques and knowledge.
