Margarida Carrusca

Margarida Carrusca (1999) is a visual artist, with a degree in Visual Arts and a master’s degree in Contemporary Artistic Creation. Born in Tavira, she develops a work deeply linked to the traditions, customs and cultural heritages of the Algarve, exploring how art can create connections, raise awareness and preserve collective memories.

Passionate about the arts and their transformative power, she believes that they can transcend barriers, convey emotions and challenge perspectives. In her artistic practices, she seeks to create moments and experiences that bring the public closer to the cultural identity of the territory. Currently, she is the trainer responsible for the weekly ceramics classes at Loulé Criativo, where she shares her knowledge and encourages artistic expression through manual work with clay.
