Description

Catarina Gonçalves is a Lacobrigense potter/ceramist, who started her career in clay 2 years ago after returning to Portugal. The potter’s wheel is her prefered technique. She creates from functional to decorative pieces in stoneware. And is inspired by the beauty of form and texture, simplicity and the everyday life. Each piece is made to be timeless and treasured.

Program

For 3 hours you will learn the basic techniques for moulding clay on the potter’s wheel. No previous experience is necessary, so it’s ideal for beginners or those who want to experiment. The pieces made will be fired and glazed by the trainer.

Catarina Gonçalves discovered her true passion in clay. His technique of choice is the Potter’s Wheel, creating functional and decorative stoneware pieces, inspired by simplicity, shapes and everyday life. Resident at Oficina do Barro do Loulé Criativo, he creates pieces to be cherished and to last over time.
