Work the Palm: Weave the Braid
Description
Loulé has been for a long time a land of weavers, women who are dedicated to weave Palm, a native plant of the Iberian Peninsula, to make baskets, carry cots or other objects.
Program
The workshop begins with a brief introduction to the history of the uses of the contract. The following follows:
- Palm preparation;
- Work on the contract technique: braiding;
- Creation of a construction braid;
- Completion of a small piece in palm contractor.
