Description

A guided tractor tour of Quinta do Freixo, with a detailed explanation of the concept of regenerative agriculture as applied on the farm.

Program

The experience includes visits to:

  • Jam factory
  • Area where native breeds are raised (Campaniça sheep, Algarve cattle, and Alentejo pigs)
  • Sheep shearing demonstration in the open field

It also includes a tasting of farm products and concludes with a lunch prepared using ingredients grown on the farm.

  • Goat cheese pastries with house-made pumpkin jam

Main courses

  • Organic Alentejo pork à la Quinta do Freixo
  • Organic Campaniça lamb à la Quinta do Freixo

Dessert

  • Quinta do Freixo figs in syrup, served on a bed of fresh cheese
