A workshop in which the entire process of making an engraving will be covered, including drawing, transfer to the plate, use of gouges to engrave the image and printing.

Each participant will have a practical and guided experience, in which they will be able to translate their ideas into a small series of 5 impressions and, at the end, they will take their own creations with them.

Marisa Murtinha

Marisa Murtinha (1997), born in Loulé, is a visual artist focused on figurative oil painting and professional tile painting. In 2026, she returned to her homeland to found Atelier Murtinha, where she develops decorative and utilitarian tiles that combine Portuguese tradition with a contemporary approach, in addition to carrying out commissions and workshops. He also explores techniques such as drawing, engraving, screen printing and cyanotype, has participated in group exhibitions since 2021 and is currently a resident artist at the GAMA RAMA studios (Faro).
