Sofia Beça é ceramista e escultora, com um percurso de mais de três décadas dedicado à cerâmica contemporânea e à criação de murais cerâmicos. Com uma vasta carreira internacional, participou em exposições, simpósios e projetos artísticos em diversos países, tendo sido distinguida com vários prémios na área da cerâmica. Paralelamente à sua prática artística, desenvolve atividade formativa, partilhando o seu conhecimento em técnicas de modelação, composição e criação de murais cerâmicos.

He was born in the village of Sabóia (Odemira), but grew up on the outskirts of Lisbon. She has a degree in environmental engineering and has been fascinated by plants since she was a child.

Marisa Murtinha
Marisa Murtinha (1997), born in Loulé, is a visual artist focused on figurative oil painting and professional tile painting. In 2026, she returned to her homeland to found Atelier Murtinha, where she develops decorative and utilitarian tiles that combine Portuguese tradition with a contemporary approach, in addition to carrying out commissions and workshops. He also explores techniques such as drawing, engraving, screen printing and cyanotype, has participated in group exhibitions since 2021 and is currently a resident artist at the GAMA RAMA studios (Faro).

Fernando Gonçalves (Clínica do Calçado)
Fernando Gonçalves was born in Arganil and found in the Algarve the place where he put down roots, maintaining his shoemaker’s workshop in Algoz. He left engineering to return to the craft he learned from his family, rediscovering a living heritage in the trade. With master shoemakers from Trás-os-Montes and Loulé, he refined the skills that today shape every piece he creates. For over a decade, he has worked with leather as a material of time and memory, sharing this knowledge with those who seek it.

Isabel Sousa Carvalho
Isabel Sousa Carvalho (Faro, 1966) is a ceramist and trainer. He develops work in ceramics, also exploring paper pulp. Since 2021, she has been teaching at Loulé Criativo and other institutions in the Algarve.

Covering an area of approximately 800 hectares, Quinta do Freixo is located in the heart of the Algarve and is dedicated to activities ranging from agriculture and livestock farming to food processing and rural tourism. The entire estate is certified organic.

Luísa Leão is a textile artist and is part of the Loulé Criativo Textile Workshop. Born in Brasília and residing in the Algarve, she develops material work with a focus on wool fiber and the use of reused materials. PhD student in Arts at UBI, she promotes workshops and coordinates the textile club Trama Aberta.
